I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. I received my BFA from the Corcoran College of Art and Design in 2005 and my MFA from MICA in 2012. I come from a family of aerospace engineers and car enthusiasts. I believe that the mechanically inclined nature of my family has instilled a need to understand my painting and drawing practice in as a matter of components, the interactions of materials and the subsequent potential effect on the viewer. For several years now I have been developing my own language in the tradition of visionary landscape painting. I have shown work in the United States and abroad consistently since 2005.
