Genie Ghim

Genie is a fine artist and expatriate from Washington, D.C. (b. Seoul). Her interdisciplinary fine art emerges from life in an eclectic mix of cities and cultures.  With an itinerent background, her work highlights intersections of cross-cultural interactions, beauty in movement and sound, social culture and the human condition.  Genie's studio art practice involves various mediums, most recently contemporary screen prints, paintings, and sculptures.  Her work narrates surreal themes, co-existence, and pop culture conveyed in vibrant colors, vivid silhouettes or witty text.
